"This Christmas we wanted to do something a little different. We realized that Christmas is about giving because Christ came to Earth only to give his life to us so that we might be saved. We want to give something to a child that could save and change their life forever and what better way than donating to WorldHelp. We have so much here in America, why not give to someone who has nothing.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me." Matthew 25:35-36"

"It wasn't until my third week in Guatemala this summer that Operation Baby Rescue became real to me. I had played with the kids and the nutrition center; I had held them and pushed them around in their toy car; I had even fed one little girl her milk; but that didn't get me. It wasn't until I was in a poor village with a small group of my peers doing evangelism. We were in this particular house talking to a young mother and when we asked how we could pray for her she began weeping and explained that her baby was dying from malnutrition. She continued talking about all the other babies in that village that had died of malnutrition. In that moment I felt so helpless. I was the American, I was supposed to have the answers, but instead I didn't know what to say in English, much less in Spanish. The story didn't end there, though, there was hope. I yelled for our nearest body guard out of desperation because I didn't know what to do. He told that mom that someone would bring the child the help he needed later in the day. Children all over Guatemala are in much worse condition. Stories come in to Hope of Life every week about children in terrible condition. I have seen them. I have served them food. I have held their dirty hand and looked deep into their brown eyes. But now it's time to bring hope to the one that hasn't yet been seen or found.
This is why we want to reject American materialism this Christmas and give life. Being college students, we know this is a God sized goal, but that is why we need your help. Even if it's $5. We want to save the life of one Guatemalan child this Christmas, will you help us?"
