Dear Family and Friends,
It’s that time of year again, The Christmas season. Every year our family reflects on all the many blessings that God has given us. It has been a Terrell Family tradition during Christmas to reach out to those in need. This year it is Operation Baby Rescue. To learn more about this World Help initiative, go to Worldhelp.net/rescue. Please see below to watch the documentary.
Our family watched this documentary together. Afterwards, this is what the children had to say:
“This makes me sad; I just want to hold the babies”. “We need to pray!”
“This is not their fault. I am so selfish. I worry about the brand of food that I eat. They can’t get food, clean water, or milk. “This is happening everyday!”
“I take a lot of things for granted.”
"Jesus calls us to love one another."
All of our hearts were moved with compassion. Where you live should not decide whether you live or die. I asked one of the children to define Hope. “It is something that keeps you going.” Jesus gives us this hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 says “‘For I know the plans I have for you’, declares the LORD, ‘Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ “ We want these precious babies to have this hope.
Psalm 31:24 says “Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the LORD.”
Let’s be strong. Compassion is Action. Our goal this Christmas is to rescue ONE child. Our children are finding ways to raise money to help with this cause. We CAN make a difference in the life of a child. Not only will the child be changed but he/she will change you. It’s ONE child at a time. Will you join us?
